Cinnamon roll protein smoothie with Greek yogurt in a glass topped with cinnamon and berries

Cinnamon Roll Protein Smoothie With Greek Yogurt

This Cinnamon Roll Protein Smoothie With Greek Yogurt is a creamy, high-protein blend made for cinnamon roll cravings in sippable form. Greek yogurt gives it a thick, tangy base, banana adds natural sweetness, oats create that soft bakery-style texture, and vanilla protein powder brings the cozy “frosting” flavor. A generous sprinkle of cinnamon ties everything together, while optional berries can add a bright, fruity swirl if you want a fun twist.

Ingredients

For 1 large smoothie, you’ll need:

  • 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 1 small frozen banana, sliced
  • 1/4 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup or honey, optional
  • 1/4 cup frozen berries, optional
  • 1/2 cup ice, as needed

How To Make It

Add the milk to your blender first to help the blades move smoothly. Spoon in the Greek yogurt, then add the frozen banana, oats, vanilla protein powder, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and maple syrup or honey if you like a sweeter smoothie.

Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If the smoothie is too thick, add another splash of milk and blend again. If you want it frostier, add a few extra ice cubes.

For the optional berry swirl, blend the main smoothie first and pour most of it into a glass. Then blend the frozen berries with the remaining smoothie for a few seconds and spoon or swirl it on top. You can also blend the berries right in if you prefer a cinnamon-berry flavor throughout.

Pour into a tall glass and finish with an extra dusting of cinnamon. For a more dessert-inspired touch, add a tiny drizzle of maple syrup around the inside of the glass before pouring.

Tips

  • Use a frozen banana for the thickest, creamiest texture. A fresh banana works too, but you may want extra ice.
  • Plain Greek yogurt keeps the smoothie balanced, while vanilla Greek yogurt makes it sweeter and more dessert-like.
  • If your oats taste a little gritty, blend them with the milk for 10 seconds before adding the rest of the ingredients.
  • Start with 1 teaspoon cinnamon, then add more if you love a stronger cinnamon roll flavor.
  • Protein powders vary in sweetness, so taste before adding maple syrup or honey.
  • For a thicker smoothie bowl, reduce the milk to 1/3 cup and top with sliced banana, berries, oats, and cinnamon.

Blend it up and enjoy a cozy cinnamon-roll moment in a glass!
