Green smoothie freezer packs with spinach, kale, green apple, banana, pineapple, mango, and lemon for weekly meal prep

Green Smoothie Freezer Packs for Weekly Meal Prep

These Green Smoothie Freezer Packs make busy mornings feel so much easier. Portion spinach, kale, green apple, banana, pineapple, mango, and a little lemon ahead of time, then stash the bags in the freezer for quick, bright, fruity green smoothies all week. Each pack is ready to blend with your favorite liquid, so you get a fresh-tasting smoothie in minutes without chopping, measuring, or digging through the fridge.

Ingredients

Makes 4 freezer smoothie packs.

  • 4 cups baby spinach, loosely packed
  • 2 cups chopped kale, stems removed
  • 2 green apples, cored and chopped
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 4 cups frozen pineapple chunks
  • 2 cups frozen mango chunks
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 4 cups cold water, coconut water, or unsweetened almond milk, for blending

For one smoothie, use 1 freezer pack plus 1 cup liquid. Add more liquid as needed for a thinner blend.

How To Make It

Set out 4 freezer-safe zip-top bags or reusable silicone bags. Label each one with the smoothie name, date, and blending note: “Add 1 cup liquid and blend.”

Divide the spinach and kale evenly among the 4 bags. Add 1/2 chopped green apple, 1 sliced banana, 1 cup frozen pineapple, and 1/2 cup frozen mango to each bag. Drizzle about 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice into each pack, especially over the apple and banana pieces.

Press out as much air as possible, seal the bags tightly, and lay them flat in the freezer. Once frozen, you can stand them upright like little smoothie files to save space.

To blend, empty one freezer pack into a high-speed blender. Add 1 cup cold water, coconut water, or unsweetened almond milk. Blend until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed. If your blender needs help, let the pack sit at room temperature for 5 minutes or add an extra splash of liquid.

Tips

Use ripe bananas for the best natural sweetness and creamy texture. If your green apple is very tart, add a small drizzle of honey or maple syrup when blending.

Pack the greens first so the heavier frozen fruit helps compress everything neatly. If you prefer a milder green flavor, use all spinach instead of the spinach-kale mix.

For extra convenience, freeze the banana slices on a tray first so they do not stick together in the bag. You can also swap in frozen peaches or green grapes if you want a different fruity twist.

Blend, sip, and enjoy your ready-to-go green morning!
