Peach cherry smoothie with Greek yogurt in a glass with peaches and cherries

Peach Cherry Smoothie With Greek Yogurt

This peach cherry smoothie with Greek yogurt is bright, fruity, and just a little creamy, making it a fun blend for breakfast, snack time, or a sunny afternoon treat. Sweet peaches bring a mellow, juicy flavor, cherries add a bold pop of color, banana helps smooth everything out, and a small spoonful of cocoa gives the smoothie a subtle chocolate-cherry twist without taking over.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup frozen pitted cherries
  • 1 cup sliced peaches, fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 medium banana
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk, dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup, optional
  • 1/2 cup ice, optional for a thicker smoothie

How To Make It

Add the milk to the blender first. This helps the blades move easily and keeps the fruit from sticking at the bottom. Next, add the Greek yogurt, cherries, peaches, banana, cocoa powder, and sweetener if you are using it.

Blend on high until the smoothie looks creamy and evenly mixed. If the blender needs help, stop and scrape down the sides, then blend again. For a thicker smoothie, add the ice and blend until frosty. For a thinner smoothie, splash in a little more milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, until it reaches your favorite sipping texture.

Taste before serving. If your cherries are tart or your peach is not very sweet, add a tiny drizzle more honey or maple syrup. Pour into a chilled glass and enjoy right away while the smoothie is cold and vibrant.

Tips

Use frozen cherries for the richest color and a naturally thick texture. Frozen peaches also work beautifully, especially when fresh peaches are out of season.

For a stronger chocolate-cherry flavor, increase the cocoa powder to 2 teaspoons. Keep it light if you want the peach flavor to shine.

Plain Greek yogurt gives this smoothie a creamy tang, but vanilla Greek yogurt is a good choice if you want a sweeter, dessert-like blend.

If you prefer a spoonable smoothie bowl, use frozen fruit, skip the extra milk, and top with granola, sliced banana, or a few chopped cherries.

Blend it up and enjoy every peachy-cherry sip!
